Liverpool Sign Dictionary

This dictionary has been produced to provide support for students who are studying Signature Level 1 British Sign Language in Liverpool.

As with all languages and dialects Liverpool signs have changed through the ages.

As BSL has many regional variations, students studying Level 1 in Liverpool are likely to be taught by a local tutor who will use local signs within the training programme. Produced by the training and development team from the Merseyside Society for Deaf People, with the involvement and support of the Liverpool Deaf Community, the dictionary looks to cover all the signs / words used in the Level 1 Curriculum.
