The Sign Language Video People

“Plays by William Shakespeare”
These tapes are basically movies shot in British Sign Language, in costume, on location, using some of Britain's finest Deaf actors. As and when we raise enough money, we film another one, thus adding a unique resource to the world of British Literature. Included with every tape is a copy of the text in book form so that you can follow the original as you watch. The plays are all voiced by Philip Bowen of Eastenders and Soldier, Soldier fame. ''Simple Signs''
Many people complain that there are hardly any tapes aimed at real beginners in Sign Language, nor are there any tapes which concentrate on teaching vocabulary. Well, we are pleased to offer this range of videos which do exactly that. Simple Signs .... are basically vocabulary tapes, each made in a different setting. For example, Simple Signs in Supermarket was filmed in a supermarket and is packed with a huge range of signs covering just about everything you'd find there. Each tape also has occasional, simple stories in nice, slow-and-easy BSL, using the signs you've just been shown. These tapes are an ideal resource for the beginner and are also excellent for anyone who wants to expand their vocabulary. By Sign Language Video People
